At Strand Hardware our employees are the heart of our business. With a close knit working environment we have a solid team with the majority of our employees serving the company for many years.
Catherine Franks - Managing Director
Catherine joined the company from a Hospitality Management background in 2000. Working her way up Catherine learned about the industry and products and was appointed Managing Director to continue the growth of Strand Hardware, following in her father’s footsteps. Today with her industry knowledge and understanding of our customers’ needs Catherine is well-known and respected within the Architectural Ironmongery industry.
Craig Fox - Sales Director
Craig joined Strand Hardware in 2001 and has over 20 years of experience in the Architectural Ironmongery industry. Craig is primarily responsible for looking after key accounts, establishing relationships with future clients and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. He has been responsible for securing new business through his perseverance and determination.
Craig is a proud holder of the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers diploma.
Simon Bravington – Sales and Marketing Manager
Simon joined Strand Hardware in 2016 after being in the timber door and joinery trade for over 25 years. Simon worked his way through the ranks from the shop floor to Sales Manager and brings a wealth of knowledge, he looks forward to learning more about architectural ironmongery.
John Maynard – Technical Sales Administrator
John joined the team in 2007 and has the responsibility for opening new accounts, providing quotations, processing orders, invoicing and providing technical advice. John joined Strand Hardware having worked as senior shipping clerk for a large ready mix concrete organisation. Since joining the business John has gained wide industry knowledge allowing him to provide customers with the service levels they have come to expect from Strand Hardware.
Mark Essex - Technical Sales Advisor
Mark joined Strand Hardware in 2005 and has spent his entire working life in the Architectural Ironmongery industry. He has a wealth of industry experience and this with his detailed technical knowledge about Strand Hardware products means he can answer all our customers’ technical issues.
Mark is another of our employees who is a proud holder of the Guild of Architectural Iron mongers diploma.
Sandra Cullum - Book-keeper
Sandra joined Strand Hardware in 1996 and is responsible for all financial aspects of the company. She has spent her entire working life in finance. Sandra is meticulous, loves a challenge and tries to keep us all organised! She is the person to contact with any invoicing or other financial queries.
Pamela Walters - Operations Manager
Pam joined Strand Hardware in 1995 having worked in the Architectural Ironmongery industry since the age of 18 and worked alongside Jonathan Franks in her previous role at Hope Works. As Operations Manager her main responsibilities are managing the warehouse, stock control and purchasing. Pam is the person that keeps all of the plates spinning!
Holly Farrell – Office Administrator
Holly joined Strand Hardware in 2012 as our Business administration apprentice. After successfully completing her A Levels, Holly is currently studying for her NVQ Level 3 in Business administration. Her role at Strand Hardware is sales orientated and assists with general administrative duties. She is quickly learning about the Architectural Ironmongery industry and has fitted into the team well.
Meet our warehouse staff!
Responsible for assembling products and high quality packaging our warehouse employees take great pride in working for Strand Hardware. Many of the team have been working with us since the 1990s. They have a wealth of experience and ensure goods are well packed and despatched on time. They also assemble and check products on site to meet our high standards
